Oath

In a slightly more private ceremony, Barack Obama retakes the oath of office in the Map Room of the White House from Chief Justice John G. Roberts Jr. a day after the official event. The unusual move occurred after the chief justice stumbled over the oath during the original swearing-in ceremony. Unlike the massively observed event at the Capitol, the second oath was recorded only by White House staff.
