Oscar Pistorius, a double-amputee revered in South Africa for overcoming his disability to compete in the Olympic Games, was sentenced to five years in prison for the culpable homicide of his girlfriend. Pistorius shot and killed Reeva Steenkamp in the early hours of Valentine's Day in 2013.
