Getting back to his radio roots, Seacrest became the new host of "American Top 40," the weekly music countdown created and previously hosted by Casey Kasem. One month later, Seacrest became host the Los Angeles KIIS-FM morning program, renamed "On-Air With Ryan Seacrest." Seacrest's magic touch flourished once more when the show moved from 10th to fifth place in ratings.
