Jean Louise 'Scout' Finch and Jeremy Atticus 'Jem' Finch Scout and her older brother Jem sure know how to get themselves muddled up in grown-up affairs. Though the 1962 film adaption of Harper Lee's 1960 novel features a brother-and-sister duo who are far kinder to each other than they were in the source material, the two still manage to taunt their recluse of a neighbor Boo Radley, and are forced to grow up fast during their lawyer father's trial dealing with race relations. The two witness the absolute worst of a racist society and survive a life-threatening attack after trying to fight against the hatred. It's heavy stuff, considering most young siblings deal with more typical drama like hair pulling.
