Brad Pitt this year is nominated for a best picture Oscar for "12 Years a Slave" (shared with Dede Gardner, Jeremy Kliener, Steve McQueen and Anthony Katagas). Pitt received a lead actor Oscar nod in 2012 for "Moneyball," but lost to Jean Dujardin in "The Artist." For "Moneyball," Pitt also received a nomination for best picture (shared with Michael Deluca and Rachael Horovitz), but once more lost to "The Artist." In 2009 Pitt earned another lead actor Oscar nod for "The Curious Case of Benjamin Button," but was bested by Sean Penn in "Milk." And in 1996 Pitt was nominated for a supporting actor Oscar for "12 Monkeys," but was topped by Kevin Spacey in "The Usual Suspects."
