Compartes chocolate bar wrapper workshop, Tacolandia, Strand House's Oyster Cart

Print-your-own chocolate bar wrapper: On Saturday, Compartés chocolatier Jonathan Grahm and printmaker Christina Carroll are teaming up to teach a class on how to print your own chocolate bar wrapper. Attendees will learn about the fundamentals of the monotype printing process and the artistry of chocolate while sampling some of Compartés’ creations. The class costs $45 per person and includes materials, tasting and one chocolate bar. Two sessions will be held at the Craft in America Center; the first at noon and the second at 3 p.m. Register online. The class is in conjunction with Craft in America’s "Good Enough to Eat: Food as Medium for Craft" exhibit, which comes to a close on June 22.

Tacolandia: LA Weekly is hosting its first annual Tacolandia on June 23. The fest will be held in the Hollywood Palladium parking lot from noon to 5 p.m. and will feature a tequila garden, live mariachi and tacos from more than 30 restaurants, including Chichen Itza, Guerilla Tacos, Loteria Grill, Mariscos Jaliscos, Mexikosher, Mo-Chica and Tamales Elena. General admission tickets are $20 per person and VIP tickets cost $40 per person (includes access to complimentary beverages from the event’s hosted bar). Tickets can be purchased online.

Oysters with a view: The Strand House in Manhattan Beach has introduced an oyster cart to the restaurant’s space this summer. In addition to seasonal oysters from places like Northern and Baja California, the cart will also carry a selection of seafood items such as shrimp, crab claws and caviar. The cart will be featured Tuesday through Saturday, from 2:30 to 7:30 p.m. A choice of seafood and wine pairing costs $25 per person. 117 Manhattan Beach Blvd., Manhattan Beach, (310) 545-7470,
