Convention Center: An article in the Feb. 25 Business section about a rise in bookings at the Los Angeles Convention Center said that the city had turned over the job of booking conventions to Anschutz Entertainment Group last year. In fact, AEG got a contract to operate the convention center, and the Los Angeles Tourism & Convention Board books the conventions.
Olympic women's curling: An article in the Feb. 21 Sochi Olympics section said that Canada's gold medal in women's curling was the first for the country in that sport. Canada also won the gold in 1998.
Drug lord's arrest: An article in the Feb. 23 Section A about the arrest of Sinaloa drug cartel chief Joaquin "El Chapo" Guzman included a photo caption that said Guzman was arrested at a 10-story condo complex. As the article correctly said, it was an 11-story complex.
Super Hornet: An article in the Feb. 22 Business section about plans to replace the Navy's F/A-18 Super Hornet fighter with the F-35 included a caption that said the Super Hornet pictured was taking off from the flight deck of the aircraft carrier Nimitz. The aircraft was landing, not taking off.
Geo Quiz: The Geo Quiz in the Jan. 26 Travel section asked, "Which ocean borders the fewest continents?" Of the possible answers provided — Arctic, Atlantic and Indian — the answer published was the Indian Ocean. The correct answer is the Arctic Ocean.Copyright © 2015, CT Now
