Irene Hirano Inouye, President of the U.S. Japan Council, joined us to discuss the one year anniversary of the earthquake and tsunami, the rebuilding effort, and how Japan is doing today. She just came back from a visit to the Tohoku region where she toured the area with representatives from Jen, a Japanese NGO involved in the recovery efforts. Irene also talked about U.S.-Japan Council's new initiative Tomodachi.
