Festival shopping, shoe store opening and more deals and events

Festival season is here. Take advantage of these shopping opportunities this weekend:

The 57th Street Art Fair features between 200 and 250 artists, including sculptors, jewelry makers, leather workers, photographers, print-makers, painters, wood workers and more. Saturday 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Sunday 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. 57th Street and South Kimbark Avenue.

Get a taste of Greek culture at the Lincoln Park Greek Fest, which hosts a variety of food vendors, live entertainment and artists. Friday 5 p.m. to 11 p.m. Saturday noon to 11 p.m. Sunday noon to 10 p.m. Sheffield Avenue between Diversey Parkway and Schubert Avenue.

More than 200 authors, performers and presenters attend the Printers Row Lit Fest, which is also where thousands of new, used and rare books from booksellers across the country are all in one place for one weekend. South Dearborn Street between Congress Parkway and Polk Street. 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.

Johnston & Murphy shoe and apparel store opens in Water Tower Place tomorrow. The company has been making men's shoes since 1850 and is said to have produced custom-fitting pairs of shoes from every U.S. president from Millard Fillmore to President Barack Obama. It started a women's line of shoes, leather goods and accessories in 2008. The 1,800-square foot store is located on level four at Water Tower Place. 835 N. Michigan Ave.

Another Orange Dot First Friday in Wicker Park-Bucktown takes place tomorrow, where 28 artists and businesses in the Flat Iron Arts Building (1579 N. Milwaukee Ave.) and surrounding area showcase art, design, food and culture. Shop for original fine art for just 20 bucks at Kevin Lahvic Art. Take 20 percent off retail at Zen Yoga Garage. Check out live bands and free beer at Brainstorm Comics. 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. Friday.

Antique furniture and pine reproductions specialists Griffins & Gargoyles' summer sale spans the entire month of June. The entire collection, including art, armoires, bookcases, buffets, cabinets, chests, desks, mantels, mirrors, seating, garden accessories and more, is 20 to 30 percent off. Women's apparel brand Henri Bendel celebrates its birthday this week and is offering 30 percent off select handbags, luggage, jewelry, shoes and accessories in stores and online. Living in a big city can be tough on the skin, but the PopSugar and Simple Skincare popup event in Millennium Park on Saturday can help with that. The Passport to Healthy Skin — City Edition is a daylong free event in which attendees can participate in yoga, sample healthy foods and a variety of skin care products. Experts will provide information on the stresses of everyday city living and how food and wellness can help skin health. 11 a.m. – 3 p.m. Millennium Park, North Promenade.
