U.S. Rep. <a class="taxInlineTagLink" id="PEPLT006057" title="Rob Simmons" href="/topic/politics-government/rob-simmons-PEPLT006057.topic">Rob Simmons</a> conceded the election in the 2nd District to <a class="taxInlineTagLink" id="hpp2191" title="Joe Courtney" href="/topic/politics-government/government/joe-courtney-hpp2191.topic">Joe Courtney</a> Wednesday at 4 pm joined by his staff, volunteers and supporters at his Mystic campaign headquarters, one week after the election. In a district-wide recount, Courtney won by a mere 90 votes. In photo, Simmons displays one of his trademark patriotic ties along with his license plate in an upbeat moment following his concession.
