Students pray outside State Capitol

David Peck, 9, of Morris, and his grandmother, Linda Nearing participate in a prayer walk at the Capitol Building in Hartford on Friday. The students, homeschooled, were taking part in a program called <a class="taxInlineTagLink" id="PLGEO100100200000000" title="Connecticut" href="/topic/us/connecticut-PLGEO100100200000000.topic">Connecticut</a> TeenPact, a Christian based educational group. The students first studied a passage in the Bible mentioning authority figures, then walked to three locations to pray for each branch of the government.
