Painting Martinsburg purple

Martinsburg (W.Va.) Mayor George Karos reads a proclamation Monday in the public square declaring April 16 to 21 to be "Paint the Town Purple Week" in the city before presenting the declaration to Barbara Henry, community manager for the American Cancer Society in Berkeley and Jefferson counties. Monday's ceremony kicked off a week of fundraising and awareness events organized through a partnership between Main Street Martinsburg and the American Cancer Society's Relay for Life of Berkeley County.
