Kelly Anthony, a spokesperson for Lawrence and Memorial Hospital in New London said, the 64-year-old woman came in about one week ago and had serious underlying medical conditions that lead to her death from the flu.
Anthony said the woman's death was not a typical case of a healthy person and that her system was already compromised.
