Digital Mobile Mammography

October and November: Hartford Hospital is providing a digital mobile mammography van around the community and at places of employment.

The van is scheduled to visit the following sites: Windsor Senior Center (Oct. 1); Nathan Hale School, Manchester (through the Manchester Health Department) (Oct. 8); First Choice Health Center, East Hartford (Oct. 23); Hartford City Hall (Nov. 13); Newington Chamber of Commerce (Nov. 14), and Jackson Chevrolet, Middletown (Nov. 16).

Premium Outlets Pink Promotion

Pink Party At Blue Back Square

Thursday, Oct. 3: Blue Back Square in West Hartford will partner with the Hartford Courant, West Hartford Center Business Association, West Hartford Chamber of Commerce, Town of West Hartford and Susan G. Komen for the Cure CT to host its 2nd annual "Pink Party" to raise awareness and raise funds to help find a cure.

The party, from 5 to 8 p.m., includes giveaways, swag bags, raffle prizes, food and drink tastings, live music and a 6 p.m. fashion show featuring breast cancer survivors modeling the latest trends from local retailers.

Comedy And A Car Raffle

Friday, Oct. 4: A car raffle and a night of comedy will benefit the Helen & Harry Gray Cancer Center at Hartford Hospital.

Gengras Motor Cars has donated a 2013 Volvo XC-60 to be raffled off at the 16th Annual Nite of Lite Laughter featuring "An Evening With Jason Alexander and His Hair" at the Bushnell Center for the Performing Arts.

Tickets for the raffle are $50, with 1,000 tickets available. All proceeds from the show and raffle will be used for breast cancer research.

Art Gallery Goes Pink

Oct. 4-31: The Gallery at Firehouse Square at 239 Bank St., New London, will host a special art exhibit featuring more than 30 works by seven Connecticut artists that express the cancer experience and the healing process.
