Lucie Bedford Cunningham Warren, 104, Westport: $88.4 million

Lucie Bedford Cunningham Warren, pictured with her husband Lynne Warren,  continued a family history of philanthropy in supporting the Wakeman Boys and Girls Club of Southport, Greens Farms Academy in Westport, the Chapin School in New York City, the Westport YMCA, the Connecticut Audubon Society, the Garden Club of America and the Mystic Aquarium Seaport. She volunteered at the Pequot Library Book Sale each year until she was 97 and two days a week at Norwalk Hospital until she was 96. Her first husband, Briggs Cunningham, won the America's Cup in 1958 (she was a member of the support team) and raced at Le Mans in the 1950s. The couple won numerous sailing championships in Europe before divorcing. She later married Lynne A. Warren. The granddaughter of the director of Standard Oil, Warren was a Smith College graduate. She is survived by 25 great-grandchildren.
