T.J. Weist, named UConn football coach for the rest of the season after the firing of Paul Pasqualoni Monday, announced Tuesday that Tim Boyle will be the starting quarterback when the depth chart for the South Florida game is released Sunday. He replaces Chandler Whitmer. Boyle, a freshman out of Xavier High School in Middletown, will make his first college start Oct. 12 when UConn plays South Florida at Rentschler Field. The annoucement comes days before Boyle's birthday. He turns 19 Thursday.
