Amistad Through The Years

The freedom schooner Amistad, a replica of the ship on which 53 African hostages bound for slavery rebelled more than 150 years ago, got its first taste of the wind  when it sailed for the first time into waters of Fishers Island Sound and Long Island Sound. The Niagra, another tall ship, is sailing in the background.
