Who says waffles can't be part of a healthy diet? Whole-grain waffles, unlike their white-flour counterparts, are a good source of fiber and complex carbohydrates, and when made with milk and eggs provide needed protein. Also, ditch the syrup and butter, and instead spread on some peanut butter for added protein. Or add a titch of powdered sugar and pretty little berries that kids can't resist.
