You should look more closely into Jim Crow North also. My husband from NY says the"colored" waiting rooms, etc were there also. You can't move forward until you acknowledge your full complicity. Great job on how CT supported slavery, but no story of how CT blacks and whites helped abolish it. Many slaves won freedom fighting on the patriot side & from 1784-97 CT passed laws gradually abolishing it. CT helped show the world how slavery might be legally, gradually and peacefully abolished.
