The Elan School, where Michael Skakel was sent from 1978 to 1980, was licensed as a treatment facility for troubled teens with alcohol and substance abuse problems. It was there that Skakel allegedly confessed to murdering Martha Moxley to fellow student and roommate John Higgins. At right is Elan 3, the residence building where Skakel and Higgins were roommates and where the confession was alleged to have occurred.
