Rose Ross of Southington submitted this photo, taken in Redwood National Park in Crescent City, California. Writes Ross, "Driving or walking among these giants is humbling and the stillness and quiet envelope you in a deep silence. Some of these giants can reach thirty stories high and are hundreds or even thousands of years old. Just think, 515 years ago, when Columbus landed in America, these were already giants! Our April 2007 visit inspired us to hug these old giants and hope they are well cared for so they can live a few hundred years more."
