Windsor Archaeology Dig

Volunteer archaeologists Cynthia Redman and Joseph Buchanan sift through dirt to reveal the secrets beneath an addition floor at the historic Strong-Howard house in Windsor Tuesday afternoon. The home is undergoing restoration and when the floor of an addition was pulled up it provided an opportunity to call in the state archaeologist and friends to find out what lay in the ground. Bones, a button and bottles were found, as we're smoking pipes, thought to be from around 1850.
