The Preserve

Chris Cryder, special projects coordinator for the Connecticut Fund for the Environment and Save The Sound, walks through a frozen Pequot Swamp, part of the 1,000 acre coastal forest known as "The Preserve." The land stretches across Old Saybrook, Essex and Westbrook and is the largest swath of open space remaining between Boston and New York City.
