Connecticut's electric chair, last used to execute Joseph Taborsky on May 17th, 1960, now sits in a storage bin at the Department of Correction Central Office in Wethersfield. The chair, now a relic of the past, was first used in 1937 and is remarkably intact right down to the helmet hanging on the seat back. There were 18 electrocutions in this chair, all done at the Wethersfield State Prison.
