Famed movie Director Steven Spielberg emerged from a walled-in trailer compound set up on the New Haven Green to greet fans and sign autographs for several minutes, much to their surprise and delight. Spielberg was in New Haven to film several street scenes for the Indiana Jones movie, the fourth in the series. Streets were transformed to look like they did in 1957 for the filming. Hundreds of extras along with the film's star, Harrison Ford, were on hand for the filming as well.
