Plaster Casts Of Bobcat Prints

Dave Czaja and his wife Elayne have both reported spotting a mountain lion in Connecticut. Dave in 1979 in Salisbury and Elayne in 1995 in Barkhamsted. Dave has made plaster casts of bobcat prints while out tracking in the northwest sections of Connecticut. On the left is a confirmed bobcat track and on the right is a confirmed bobcat on the large end on the scale, borderline mountain lion. The size of the tracks shows the difficulty in determining the difference between a bobcat and a mountain lion.
