Monkees Songs: No So Much A Fan

The Monkees

I was never a big fan of The Monkees. They always reminded me of the Three Stooges set to music. If they were on "The Last Train to Clarksville," I would have walked. And I was never the "Daydream Believer" type. As for their theme song, I still get hives when exposed to "Hey, Hey We're The Monkees." I was reading some college professor's blog in which he credited The Monkees' TV show with paving the way for such future offerings as "The Partridge Family." If anything, this information has hardened my view. That said, RIP Davy Jones.
