Mashantucket Pequot Museum

Open since 1998, the <a href="http://www.pequotmuseum.org/"target=new window">Mashantucket Pequot Museum</a> and Research Center highlights the history of the Mashantucket Pequot Tribal Nation and other tribes through film, dioramas, interactive computer displays, and arts and crafts collections. A highlight is the 16th-century coastal Pequot Village, where visitors wander through a reconstructed 22,000-square-foot Pequot fort, showing how people lived in 1675.
