For the past three years, Kathleen Megan has been covering statewide education issues. Her coverage has included Connecticut’s tumultuous education reform; surviving college with a mental illness; “scream rooms” in public school; and the turbulent overhaul of higher education. Previously, she covered mental health, child welfare, and disability issues as well as writing features. Along the way, she has won national, regional and state awards. Before arriving at The Courant, she worked for The Standard-Times in New Bedford MA and The Charleston Gazette in West Virginia.
