Eastman, a 2000 recipient of a Greater Hartford Art Council Fellowship, is currently employed as an art preparator at the <a class="taxInlineTagLink" id="PLCUL000232" title="Wadsworth Atheneum Museum of Art" href="/topic/arts-culture/art/wadsworth-atheneum-museum-of-art-PLCUL000232.topic">Wadsworth Atheneum Museum of Art</a> in Hartford. His work pictured on this week's iTowns cover will be featured in a two-artist exhibition at the <a class="taxInlineTagLink" id="HPU30" title="Mandell Greater Hartford Jewish Community Center" href="/topic/entertainment/mandell-greater-hartford-jewish-community-center-HPU30.topic">Chase/Freedman Gallery</a> at the Mandell Jewish Community Center in <a class="taxInlineTagLink" id="PLGEO100100202260000" title="West Hartford" href="/topic/us/connecticut/hartford-county/west-hartford-PLGEO100100202260000.topic">West Hartford</a>. The show, "Structure/Dimension," opens June 26 and runs through Aug. 8 and includes works of Eastman and Felix Bronner.<br>

 "Initially, my box constructions were photography based, and I continue to utilize that medium," Eastman says. "This particular group of works, however, are based on my love of abstraction, and draw inspiration from the Modernist and Constructivist movements in painting and sculpture."
