The Marlin Co. of Wallingford, a leader in digital workplace communications, has a century of experience in the state. The company was founded in 1913 by current company president Frank Kenna's grandfather, a lawyer and entrepreneur also named Frank Kenna. Then called the Illustrated Current News, the senior Kenna produced posters with the news of the day and sold them to shop owners as a marketing tool. The shops would hang the posters in their windows and passers-by would read the news item and perhaps make a purchase in the store. Today the company is not only in the digital communication business, but still produces company communication products in still paper form.
