Hill-Stead Museum

A National Historic Landmark, the Hill-Stead Museum in Farmington is a stop on the Connecticut Art Trail and a member of Connecticut's Historic Gardens. The 152-acre, 10-building estate was originally built between 1898 and 1901 by architect Theodate Pope Riddle. Today paintings by Edgar Degas, Claude Monet and Mary Cassatt are among the notable works on display. Bob MacDonnell/Hartford Courant
