Eli Whitney Museum

Born in 1820, Eli Whitney invented the cotton gin, which extricated the sticky seeds from cotton, and a method of mass producing muskets. The <a href="http://www.eliwhitney.org/"target=new window">Eli Whitney Museum and Workshop</a> is an experimental learning workshop for students, teachers and families. At this hands-on museum, visitors can create make-and-take projects such as rubber-band-powered vehicles and catapults.
