Carolyn Lumsden, Opinion editor, started at The Courant in 1992 as an editorial writer. She has a master's degree in legal studies from Yale Law School. She’s also been a reporter for the AP and a copy editor for Random House.
Peter B. Pach oversees The Courant's op-eds and the Sunday Opinion section. He joined The Courant as Middletown bureau chief in 1983 and has also been a columnist and editor of towns editorials.
Stephen Busemeyer, editorial writer, joined The Courant in 2000 and has served as bureau chief, breaking news editor and data editor. He was previously an editor at newspapers in Colorado and Wyoming and teaches regularly at the University of Hartford.
Ken Heidel manages letters to the editor, produces the online opinion pages, and created Ed Page, the face of the opinion department on Facebook and Twitter. He’s worked at newspapers from Massachusetts to California.
