Newborn penguin

A Gentoo penguin feeds a chick at the Faunia park zoo in Madrid on July 15, 2014. For the first time since the inauguration of the park in 2001,  three couples of Gentoo penguins have hatched two penguin chicks. With these rare multiple births, the park's penguin population has increased by nine Gentoo chicks this summer, while two Humboldt, vulnerable species according to the IUCN Red List of Threatened Species, and one Magallanico were also born.
