Circus artists take part in a protest against the prohibition of use of animals in circuses in downtown Mexico City June 10, 2014. Mexico City's legislative assembly on Monday prohibited the use of animals in circuses, joining other states in the Latin American country that recently prevented this type of show. The amendment to the Law on the Public Conduct of Entertainment, approved by an overwhelming majority in the legislative assembly, gives circuses one year to replace their acts where animals appear in. The sign reads, "Animals love their circuses."
