The 5th annual Corvair Car Show was held Saturday, Aug. 24, at Lyman Orchards in Middlefield. Dozens of Chevrolet's rear-engined air-cooled vehicles made an appearance at the show. The Corvair was a popular car in the 1960's but due to bad press initiated by Ralph Nader production was ceased in 1969. Shortly after the show a picnic style lobster dinner and clambake was held on the grounds of Lyman Orchards.
