Connecticut State Parks

Sherwood Island State Park in Westport got its first pavilion in 1964, 50 years after the first land was acquired there. The days of open
air, all wood construction for pavilions had given way to the concrete, steel and glass of the time. Still a popular gathering place today,
the pavilion is set for renovation for the Connecticut State Parks Centennial.
