BROOKFIELD — A driver was killed in a crash on Candlewood Lake Road Saturday morning, police said.
The crash was reported shortly before 11 a.m. when a Subaru Outback traveling northbound crossed the center line into the southbound lane and crashed into a Honda Pilot just north of the intersection with Kellogg Street. Both drivers were taken to Danbury Hospital where the driver of the Subaru Outback was pronounced dead, police said.
The victim's name is not being released pending notification of family, police said. The other driver, a 16-year-old town resident, was not seriously injured.
Candlewood Lake Road was closed until 2:15 p.m. while police investigated.Copyright © 2015, CT Now
