Honoring A Barefoot Runner In 2006

Despite cold, rainy conditions at the Manchester Road Race in November 2006, a group of runners honored the late Charley "Doc" Robbins before the race by running barefoot down Main Street. Charley Robbins ran the race (and won it multiple times) barefoot for many years. Running legend and multiple winner Amby Burfoot is in the center in red, carrying his shoes. He's joined by Bekkie Wright of the Silk City Stridders, in pink, and others.
