09.05.2012 - Hartford, CT - Achievement First Hartford High School students participate in a daily book club discussion of "Invisible Man" by Ralph Ellison while sitting around "The Rose That Grew from Concrete," a book of poems by Tupac Shakur . The city's first charter high school opened this year with 62 ninth-graders. In order to graduate, each must receive acceptance into a four-year college or university.
