Christmas Eve, Christmas Day Dining In Connecticut

If your holiday plans take you out of the kitchen, these local restaurants are serving Christmas Eve and Christmas Day dinners:

Cavey's,  45 East Center St., Manchester, hosts a Christmas Eve celebration with a traditional “Feast of the Seven Fishes” menu. Reservations are accepted from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. 860-643-2751, caveysrestaurant.com.

Millwright's, 77 West St., Simsbury, is open Christmas Eve with a special holiday a la carte menu from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. The restaurant will also open Monday, Dec. 23 for dinner. Reservations and information: 860-651-5500, millwrightsrestaurant.com.

BALLO Italian Restaurant and Social Club at Mohegan Sun will be open Christmas Eve and Christmas Day from 4 p.m to 10 p.m. both days, with specials in addition to the regular menu. Reservations and information: 860- 862-1100, balloitalian.com.

At Foxwoods, Red Lantern is open Christmas Eve and Christmas Day from 5 p.m. to 11 p.m. The Scorpion Bar is open Christmas Day from 5 p.m. to 1 a.m. High Rollers Luxury Lanes and Lounge is open Christmas Eve 5 p.m. to 1 a.m. and Christmas Day from 3 p.m. to 1 a.m. (Normal late night menu starts at 10 p.m.; Free at Five promotion is valid as usual.)

Char Koon, 882 Main St., South Glastonbury, will be open Christmas Day from 11:30 a.m. to 9 p.m. 860-657-3656, charkoon.com.

Forbidden City, 335 Main St., Middletown, will be open Christmas Day from 11:30 a.m. to 9 p.m. 860-343-8288, forbiddencitybistro.com.

All of Max Restaurant Group's locations are open for Christmas Eve lunch, with dinner service at Max Downtown in Hartford (4 p.m. to 9:30 p.m.,) Max Fish in Glastonbury (4 p.m. to 9 p.m.) and Max’s Tavern in Springfield (5 p.m. to 9 p.m.) maxrestaurantgroup.com.

Saybrook Point Inn's Fresh Salt restaurant, 2 Bridge St., Old Saybrook, offers Christmas Eve dinner from 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. On Christmas Day, the restaurant hosts a buffet dinner with seatings from noon to 5 p.m., including seafood, antipasto, salads, a carving station and assorted entrees. Angelico's Lake House, 81 North Main St., East Hampton, features a Christmas dinner “to go” special takeout option, with a choice of roast turkey, pork loin or ham and sides to feed 12 people.
