Join Wine Lovers of Connecticut, host of many overseas wine tours, as they bring the wines to you this Thursday night. Carmine's Tuscan Grill on Whalley Avenue in New Haven hosts a wine dinner where participants will learn about what they're drinking while chowing down on a four course Italian feast. The knowledge you will gain comes from Jordan Ross, renowned wine expert.
Enjoy Valdo Prosecco as you mix and mingle at the beginning of the event, which starts at 6:30 p.m. As you munch on antipasto, you'll get to sample Le Domaine Saget Pouilly-Fume and Domaine de la Perriere Sancerre, from France. Over rigatoni bolognese, Ross will fill you in as you sipp Aruma Malbec and Amancaya Malbec/Cabernet.
The main course consists of roast pork tenderloin with roasted potatoes, onions, fresh tomatoes and sweet peppers, paired with Los Cascos Reserve Cabernet and Chateau La Nerthe CDP. After which, enjoy cheeses and fresh fruit for dessert.
Ross isn't a stranger to Wine Lovers of Connecticut dinners, but why wait until he comes around again? Tickets for this week's event are $50 per person, with tax and tip included. Interested diners should RSVP to firstname.lastname@example.org or via the PayPal link at amitywines.net.
