Rizzuto's in West Hartford's Blue Back Square offers a seasonal prix-fixe menu Monday through Thursday, featuring fresh local ingredients. Three courses are available for $25.95, with special wine pairings with each course for another $10.
This week's menu features a choice of hand-rolled ricotta gnocchi with cider-glazed root vegetables, goat cheese and baby arugula or an organic lettuce salad with butternut squash, dried cherries, blue cheese, toasted pumpkin seeds and cider-honey vinaigrette to start.
Entrees include a choice of wood-grilled swordfish with polenta cake and Brussels sprouts; pumpkin ravioli in a light sage cream with roasted butternut squash and pistachio crumbs or wood-fire roasted pork loin with dried cherry mustard sauce, braised local greens and sweet potato puree.
Desserts include local honey yogurt panna cotta or a selection of housemade sorbets and ice creams.
