McLadden's hopes to bring the luck of the Irish to Simsbury, as it plans its fourth location in the former Iron Frog Tavern space. The restaurant group announced its expansion plans last week.

"Simsbury provides us with an exciting opportunity to take our growing organization once again to the next level," said owner Michael Ladden, a Granby native, in a press release.

Renovations have begun at the Wilcox Street building, according to the company, and the Irish pub is slated to open in February. The Iron Frog closed at the end of December.

The original McLadden's Irish Publick House opened in West Hartford Center in 2009, followed by two Western Massachusetts locations in Hampden and Northampton. Like its predecessors, the newest McLadden's promises traditional Irish fare and comfort-food favorites, along with a large variety of draft and bottled beers and single-malt Scotches.
