Maggie McFly's announced plans to expand to Manchester's Shoppes at Buckland Hills Thursday, according to a news release. The Connecticut restaurant chain will open its fifth location there in the fall of 2014.
The restaurant will open at 266 Buckland Hills Drive, in the former Vinny T's spot. The 7,200-square foot space with an outdoor patio will offer nightly events, happy hour specials and live entertainment, with a wide-ranging menu of sandwiches, salads, pub-grub appetizers, burgers, pizzas, pastas and entrees like shepherd's pie, pot roast, steaks and seafood dishes. Organic and gluten-free items are available.
The restaurant group has also partnered with New Milford Hospital's Plow to Plate Initiative, according to the company, "which seeks to promote local foods and agriculture as a critical means to well-being and to provide the Connecticut community with healthy food choices."
The bar will feature house-infused spirits, cocktails made with small-batch liquors, martinis with light-up electric "ice cubes" and a selection of more than 75 craft beers.
