Plan B Burger Bar's upcoming dinners in Glastonbury and Stamford featuring the rare and elusive (and theft-prone) Pappy van Winkle bourbon sold quickly, though a couple of tickets were available in Glastonbury as of Monday afternoon. But you have two more chances to enjoy Buffalo Trace brands at another pair of events in November.
Plan B Milford and Plan B Springfield will host Buffalo Trace "Magical History Tour" dinners, featuring a selection of bourbons paired with complementing cuisine. In Milford on Nov. 12, the menu includes Buffalo Trace, Eagle Rare, Blanton's, EH Taylor Small Batch and Pappy 12-year Family Reserve, served alongside a bourbon-soaked tasting menu of butternut bisque, poached pear salad, pecan petite cheese balls, peaches and pork belly, chicken and waffles, bacon scallops and bourbon bananas Foster bread pudding.
Cost is $75, including tax and gratuity. Click here to buy tickets online. The dinner starts at 6 p.m.
In Springfield on Nov. 18, the Buffalo Trace family of bourbons will be complemented by five courses: mushroom and potato rolls, veal consomme, wild boar and jicama salad, bourbon braised buffalo short rib and mini sweet potato pecan pie with bourbon pecan ice cream. Cost is $100, including tax and gratuity. The dinner starts at 6:30 p.m. Click here to buy tickets.
