The waterfront of Roger Sherman Baldwin Park became a gourmand's playground Saturday as the Greenwich Wine & Food Festival returned for a sixth year.
Saturday's Grand Tasting offered samplings from more than 150 food and beverage vendors. Two stages and a demo tent presented several cooking demonstrations and seminars, featuring appearances by celebrity guests like Marcus Samuelsson, Adam Richman, Alex Guarnaschelli, Michel Nischan and Marc Murphy. Celebs also stopped by the Green Room for interviews, book signings and meet and greet opportunities.
Local restaurants competed in recipe showdowns, battling for the title of best burger, ultimate sandwich and top cocktail. Live entertainment closed the festival, with co-headlining Grammy Award-winning musical acts Ziggy Marley and Old Crow Medicine Show.
