The restaurant replaces Posh Tomato, a fast-casual pizzeria franchise, which was also operated by Goldberg's owners Chad Kirby and Dan Taskila.
The Blue Back Square menu is similar to the Goldberg's Bagels location in the town's Elmwood section, with indulgent breakfast and lunch sandwiches like the Mother Clucker, with egg, fried chicken, pepperjack cheese and sriracha aioli; a Korean-influenced cheesesteak and the "Fire Breathing Dragon" with chipotle chicken, pepperjack cheese and chipotle mayo.
The new location adds several new hot pressed sandwiches on ciabatta, a bagel burger with two ground beef patties, cheese and toppings; and several chopped salads, made with shaved Brussels sprouts, spinach, kale and avocado.
Bagels are $1.10 to $1.50 apiece; $6.49 for a half-dozen and $10 for a dozen. Breakfast sandwiches are $2.99 to $9.99, egg scrambles are $6.99 to $8.49, salads are $5.99 to $9.49, hot pressed sandwiches are $6.49 to $8.99 and gourmet sandwiches are $5.49 to $7.99.
The Blue Back location also plans to offer call-ahead curbside pickup in the future.
Goldberg's Gourmet is open Monday through Thursday, 7 a.m. to 8 p.m.; Friday and Saturday 7 a.m. to 2 a.m. and Sunday, 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Information: facebook.com/GoldbergsBagelCafe.
