The Frank Pepe Pizzeria Napoletana legacy keeps growing, as the iconic family-owned pizzeria opens its ninth location April 17 at 130 Reidville Drive in Waterbury.
The 3,400-square foot space has seating for 90 and offers the same menu of classic coal-fired Neapolitan pizza, salads, beer, wine, and Foxon Park soda as its other restaurants.
"Waterbury has long been on our radar," said Gary Bimonte, grandson of founder Frank Pepe, and a co-owner along with family members. "As always, our goal is to bring our customers the same quality pizza and the Pepe's experience they have grown know to love – and perhaps introduce ourselves to some new customers along the way."
The pizzeria, which first opened on New Haven's Wooster Street in 1925, also has Connecticut locations in Danbury, Fairfield, Manchester, West Hartford and at the Mohegan Sun casino. Pepe's also has restaurants in Yonkers, N.Y. and Chestnut Hill, Mass. pepespizzeria.com.
